Bach's 48 Preludes and Fugues need no introduction; they are not only the most famous pedagogical musical work every written but also great music. Jill's complete recording is released this year on Signum Classics.

Handel's "Harmonious Blacksmith" is undoubtedly his most famous keyboard work and forms the last movement of one of his keyboard sites. It almost certainly dates from his early compositional life in Germany, but was published and popularised once he had become famous in England.

Schumann's Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood) are an adult's nostalgic, often wistful view of childhood.

Chopin's compositions are favourites with audiences and performers alike. These are two virtuosic examples.

The Rotherham Civic Theatre and Arts Centre have a vision to inform, challenge, inspire and entertain’ and provide access to arts for all.
